Baseball Unveils Home-Heavy 2024 Schedule

LONGVIEW, Texas -- Twenty-four home games and a trip to California highlights the 2024 LeTourneau baseball schedule as the YellowJackets released their full 40-game slate.

LeTourneau, under second-year head coach Paul Phillips, is set for 40 regular season games, including 24 slated for Conrad-Vernon Field. Six of the eight countable ASC series are at home for the YellowJackets. The 24 home games would be the most at home in a season since 2010 when the YellowJackets played 27 contests in Longview.

The season opens up on Feb. 9-10 as Millsaps comes to Longview for a three-game series. Game one is set for Friday, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. Those three games are part of six non-conference home games for the YellowJackets as Castleton (Feb. 27), Lyon (March 19), and Centenary (April 9) all make their way to Longview.

After opening the season at home, the YellowJackets will make the trek to California for a three-game series with Redlands on Feb. 16-17. It will mark the first time since 2003 LeTourneau has played games in the state of California.

ASC play begins on Feb. 23-24 with a series at home against Ozarks. LeTourneau will play eight conference series -- with one non-conference counting series against Sul Ross State -- and six of those will come at home.

The bulk of the home schedule comes in a 13-game homestand from March 28-April 20. The YellowJackets will have conference series against Mary Hardin-Baylor (March 28-29), a three-game set with rival East Texas Baptist (April 5-6), a midweek game vs. Centenary (April 9) followed by conference series against McMurry (April 12-13) and Hardin-Simmons (April 19-20) during the stretch.

LeTourneau finishes the year at UT Dallas on April 26-27. The ASC Tournament is currently scheduled for May 2-4 at the No. 1 seed.

SCHEDULE NOTES:

  • LeTourneau will play Redlands for the first time
  • The YellowJackets will face Vermont State Castleton for the first time since 2015 and are 12-0 all-time against the Spartans.
  • LeTourneau will also face Lyon for the first time since 2001 and Southwestern for the first time since 2014.
  • Games against Sul Ross State will not count towards ASC standings this year as the Lobos prepare to move to Division II next year.
  • LeTourneau will honor the 2014 ASC Tournament championship team during the weekend of April 6. The celebration will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the program's first ASC title and NCAA Tournament appearance.
