LAKE CHARLES, La. -- LeTourneau women's track and field competed at the McNeese Indoor II and Multi on Friday, with several top 10 finishes and personal records being recorded.
Heather Shaw established a new personal record in the 200-meter, running a 28.63, breaking her previous personal record by .20.
Several YellowJackets landed in some top 10s at the event as well. Shaw placed ninth in the 400-meter with a personal-best time of 1:07.09, while in the mile
Hope Greenwald came in ninth with a time of 5:42.99 and
Madelyn DeLosSantos ended up 10th with a personal-best time of 5:44.47.
Alayna Galloway was just outside the top 10 in the mile, coming in 11th with her top personal time of 5:45.72.
Victoria Wilson rounded out the top 10 placers with her eighth-place finish at the long jump, hitting a mark of 4.91 meters (16'1.5).
Maddy Hirneise placed 11th in the 55-meter prelims at 8.38, while
Kooper Bogenschutz placed highest for LeTourneau in the 200-meter, finishing 16th with a time of 28.45.
Greenwald and Wilson also competed in the 800-meter, both placing in the top 20. Greenwald came in 13th (2:31.41) and Wilson was 19th (2:41.70).
Hirneise (30.07) and
Eliza Dye (30.61) competed in the 200-meter as well, while Wilson also competed in the shot put, throwing 9.04m (29'8).
UP NEXT
The YellowJackets will head back to Houston to compete in the FasTrak Athletix Collegiate Indoor Last Chance Invitational next Saturday.
