SEGUIN, Texas -- Multiple personal bests highlighted LeTourneau women's track and field's Saturday slate at the SCAC championships in Seguin, as they currently sit sixth in the standings.
Two athletes landed in the top 10 in their respective events.
Victoria Wilson notched her personal best in the high jump, hitting 1.52m (4' 11.75) to place fifth in that event.
Madelyn DeLosSantos had the other top-10 finish with her personal (and team season-best) 13:10.57 in the 3000m Steeplechase, good enough for 10th place.
Wilson also had a personal best in the triple jump, leaping 10.36m (33' 11.75) to place seventh, while adding a season-best time of 15.90 in the 100m hurdles prelims, which was good enough to qualify for the event final tomorrow.
Peyton Chaney added to the mix by setting a team season-best and personal record with a 46:50.57 in the 10k, while
Maddy Hirneise (13.62) and
Heather Shaw (27.17) set personal bests in the 100m and 200m prelims, respectively.
Shaw also competed in the 400m prelims, running a time of 1:03.76, while Hirneise contributed an initial benchmark of 30.32 in the 200m prelims.
Felice Mullinax (2:27.21),
Alayna Galloway (2:33.21), and
Hope Greenwald (2:38.19) competed in the 800m prelims.
