SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Nine personal records were set in the Trinity Invitational by LeTourneau outdoor track and field's ladies over the weekend, showing that the continuous improvement and work ethic are ever-present.
In the running events,
Madelyn DeLosSantos (20:27.45),
Felice Mullinax (21:00.01), and
Hope Greenwald (21:04.36) set personal bests in the 5000m, while
Alayna Galloway (5:18.62) and
Annabelle Nixon (5:54.23) set personal records at the 1500m.
Mullinax (2:26.56), DeLosSantos (2:28.51), and Galloway (2:33.80) also earned personal bests in the 800m.
Nat Ferdi also continued her throwing improvement with a personal best in the shot put (8.17m - 26' 9.75).
In other throwing events, Ferdi tied for sixth in the javelin throw (30.95m - 101' 7), while also competing in the discus throw (19.29m - 63' 3), and the hammer throw (24.90m - 81' 8).Â
Amongst other running results,
Peyton Chaney had a mark of 22:06.30 in the 5000m, while
Victoria Wilson had a 2:35.76 time in the 800m. Wilson also competed in the long jump (4.72m - 15' 5.75), and the 100m hurdles (16.95), coming in the top 15 in the hurdles slate.
Kooper Bogenschutz added a 28.64 time in the 200m to round out the YellowJacket competitors.
UP NEXT
The YellowJackets travel to Denton, Texas to compete in the Bill Schmidt Classic next Friday and Saturday (Apr. 4 and 5).
