NACOGDOCHES, Texas --
Felice Mullinax set her first outdoor program record and three others added personal-best marks at the Carl Kight Invitational at Stephen F. Austin.
Mullinax's mark of 4:54.75 in the 1500m was just enough to break Alexis Segura's 2021 program record of 4:54.99, an incredible accomplishment for the freshman from Columbia City, Indiana.
Mullinax added to her great day with a personal-best mark in the 800m as well, running a 2:23.04.
Alayna Galloway added two personal bests, one in the 800m (2:27.13) and one in the 1500m (5:14.62). Galloway's numbers continue to improve in every meet, showing her work ethic is paying dividends.
Peyton Chaney and
Heather Shaw would record the final two personal bests for the women at the meet. Chaney set hers in the 5000m (21:21.45), while Shaw ran a new best in the 400m dash (1:03.21).
Three would also add initial benchmarks during the event.
Kooper Bogenschutz set her initial benchmark in the pole vault competition with a 2.65m (8' 8.25) mark, while
Madelyn DeLosSantos set a bar of 13:25.73 in the 3000m steeple chase.
Annabelle Nixon provided the final initial benchmark with a 21:51.48 in the 5000m.Â
Among other results,
Victoria Wilson came close to breaking her program record in the heptathalon, getting a final score of 4115, a still impressive mark nonetheless. Shaw (28.09) and Bogenschutz (28.93) ran solid times in the 200m, while
Hope Greenwald had a time of 5:22.45 in the 1500m.
Makenzie Covey threw a season-best 33.76m (110' 9) in the discus throw to complete the meet for the Jackets.
