DALLAS -- LeTourneau baseball juniorÂ
Clayton Holt was named the ASC Pitcher of the Week, announced the conference on Monday.
It is the first career weekly award for Holt and he also becomes the fourth LeTourneau pitcher this year to earn the honor.
A junior from Dobbin, Texas, Holt made two appearances out of the bullpen, totaling five innings, and did not allow a run while picking up one save in the series at East Texas Baptist. He surrendered just three hits and totaled eight strikeouts on the week. Holt notched the save in a 6-3 win in game one as he tossed the final three innings and struck out four while allowing just two hits and no runs. He also threw two innings in game four with four strikeouts and no runs allowed.
On the year, Holt is 3-1 with two saves. The right-hander leads the team with 44 strikeouts in just 29.0 innings pitched while limiting opponents to a .243 batting average.
LeTourneau (19-16, 11-5 ASC) concludes the regular season with a four-game series vs. UT Dallas starting on Thursday (7 p.m.).
