Ferdi's Podium Placement Helps Women's Track Sit Fourth After Day One

SEGUIN, Texas -- Nat Ferdi's podium finish helped women's outdoor track land fourth of eight teams after day one of the SCAC Championships.

Ferdi's javelin throw distance of 34.56m (113' 5), was good enough to place second in that event, plus, it set a personal best for Ferdi, who has continued to demonstrate improvement over the course of the season.

The All-Conference honor for Ferdi was the first of her career.

Victoria Wilson was the other female competitor of the Friday slate for the Jackets, reaching a mark of 5.13m (16' 10), which was a personal best for her. Wilson placed fifth overall in that event.
