LONGVIEW, Texas -- LeTourneau women's tennis juniors
Elizabeth Moreau and
Kylie Weeks along with sophomore
Isa Casso were all named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® team, announced the organization on Tuesday.
CSC, formerly known as CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
Moreau, a junior from Nacogdoches, Texas, earns her second straight CSC Academic All-District honor. The junior collected eight singles wins on the year, including six at the No. flight and paired with Casso for seven wins at the No. 1 flight in doubles.
Moreau graduated in three years with her degree in business accounting. She is a two-time ITA Scholar-Athlete and two-time ASC Academic All-Conference selection.
Weeks, a junior from Houston, Texas, becomes a two-time CSC Academic All-District selection in both tennis and basketball. She compiled a 10-5 overall record in singles on the year and won seven doubles contests. Weeks went 2-2 in ASC matches and was 8-4 at the No. 5 flight on the year.
Majoring in business marketing, Weeks is also a two-time ASC Academic All-Conference honoree and earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors once.
Casso, a sophomore from McKinney, Texas, collects her first CSC Academic All-District selection. Casso played at the top flight in singles and doubles all season, collecting a team-high 11 singles wins and 11 doubles victories. She earned ASC All-Tournament honors after helping LeTourneau reach the semifinal round.
Casso earned her degree in business finance and was an ITA Scholar-Athlete and ASC Academic All-Conference honoree last season.
To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-America® program students must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA, be a significant contributor to the team (having played in 70 percent of the team's dual matches), and be at least a sophomore academically.
