HOUSTON, Texas --
David Dugan and
Calvin Mason both broke their own program records as the LeTourneau men's track and field team competed at the FasTrak Collegiate Classic in Houston on Saturday.
Dugan set the mark once again in the 5,000-meter event as he finished seventh overall with a time of 15:26.58. The time was nearly five seconds faster than his previous program record set back in 2024.
Mason also topped his own program record in the weight throw. The junior placed third with a distance of 16.27 meters (53'4.5) to break his program record for a second time this season. The mark now sits third overall in the West Region on the year. In the shot put, Mason was sixth with a distance of 15.24 meters (50'0).
LeTourneau saw several other top performances.
Elijah Oudyn set a personal record and finished 10th overall in the 5,000-meter at 15:36.09. In the mile,
Grayson Gaddis was 11th with a season-best and personal record time of 4:26.90.
Xavier Davila was 16th in the 800-meter with his new season-best mark of 2:00.52.
Jean-Michel Ndiaye had two strong performances in the 200 and 400-meter events. He finished with a personal record and top season time in both races. In the 200, Ndiaye came in at 22.83 and had a time of 51.57 in the 400-meter. He also cleared a height of 1.80 meters (5-10.75) in the high jump.
Blaize Putnam ran a season-best time of 7.24 in the 60-meter event and
Xander Nabors came in at 8.94 in the 60-meter hurdles.. The 4x400 team of Nabors,
Austin Jett,
John Wesley Ely, and
Isaac Stucker finished 12th at 3:38.86.
In other field events,
Colton Fears was sixth in the pole vault with a height of 4.30 meters (14'1.25).
James Kearsing had a jump of 6.17 meters (20'3) in the long jump and
Ben Sweatt came in 13th in the triple jump at 13.14 meters (43'15).
