LAKE CHARLES, La. -- LeTourneau men's track and field sent a limited squad to the Cowboy Relays hosted by McNeese State.
The team has spent spring break doing mission work in South Louisiana, and those who stayed behind competed in the meet on Saturday.
Two YellowJackets ran in the 1500-meter, with
Alexander Hoksbergen placing eighth with a time of 4:24.28, followed by
Ryan Tally, who ran a 4:34.93.
Xandor Nabors made his outdoor debut for LeTourneau, posting a 6.49-meter (21' 3.5") mark in the long jump and throwing the javelin 47.61 meters (156' 2").
Ryker Gorrell posted 5.29 meters (17' 4.25") in the long jump, and
Aaron Willeford threw 53.87 meters (176' 9"). In the pole vault,
Colton Fears leaped 4.15 meters (13' 7.25").
Finally, LeTourneau displayed Tally, Hoksbergen,
Austin Jett, and
Grayson Gaddis in the 4x800-meter relay, who ran a time of 8:13.76.
UP NEXT
LeTourneau will compete in the TCU Alumni Invite next weekend (March 20-21).
