NATCHITOCHES, La. -- LeTourneau men's track and field displayed a dozen personal bests at the NSU Invitational, hosted by Northwestern State, on Saturday.
Andrew Cockrill earned a top-place finish in the pole vault, reaching a career-best mark of 4.30 meters (14' 1.25").Â
In the other field events,
Calvin Mason (46.36 meters (152' 1")),
Mason Thompson (33.62 meters (110' 4")), and
Jonathan Fisher (31 meters (101' 8")) all notched personal records in the discus. Mason finished fourth in the event, while Thompson placed ninth.
Mason also earned a third-place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 45.5 meters (162' 5"), while Thomspon cracked a personal-best of 40.24 meters (132'). Mason placed sixth in the shot put with his mark of 15.05 meters (49' 4.5").
In the high jump,
Bryson Culver leaped a personal best of 1.86 meters (6' 1.25").
In the 800-meter,
Austin Jett soared to a personal record time of 1:58.62, finishing third. Jett was followed by
Xavier Davila in fifth place with a time of 1:59.48.
Jack McCarty (2:04.47),
Simon Nakamura (2:05.78), and
Chris Morelli (2:06.00) all finished top-10 in the event.
Both
Jean-Michel Ndiaye (22.27) and
Justin Lindberg (23.55) collected outdoor personal bests in the 200-meter, with Ndiaye finishing 11th.
Xander Nabor's personal record came by way of the 110-meter hurdles, where Nabors posted a time of 16.29.
Finally, LeTourneau had a day in the 1500-meter, as
David Dugan (4:13.27 -- 2nd),
Ryan Tally (4:22.76 -- 3rd), and
Daniel Risberg (4:32.52 -- 5th) all worked top-five finishes and hit personal bests.
