SUWANEE, Ga. -- For the second time this season, LeTourneau men's track and field junior Calvin Mason was named the SCAC Field Athlete of the Week, announced the league on Tuesday.

A junior from New London, Texas, Mason finished second overall in the shot put with a mark of 15.80 meters (51'10) at the War Hawk Classic.

Mason was the top finisher among 19 SCAC competitors in the event and placed second among 31 overall competitors.

The mark is the second highest for Mason this year, and his top mark of 16.21 (53' 2.25") from the LeTourneau Invitational currently sits 25th in the national rankings.

In the indoor season, Mason received USTFCCCA Indoor All-West Region honors in both the shot put and weight throw, and is making a push to add All-Region accolades this Spring as well.

LeTourneau returns to action at the Dan Veach Invitational this Saturday, April 18, hosted by Southern Arkansas.
