ABILENE, Texas -- LeTourneau had three athletes tally points on day one of the SCAC Championships on Friday, hosted by McMurry.
LeTourneau sits in fourth place in the men's standings after day one of the SCAC Championships with a total of nine points, while the women are sixth with four points.
McMurry sits atop both team standings, with the men totaling 32 points, and the women 39.
Erik Lindgren and
Drew Moore brought home LeTourneau's first points of the SCAC Championships with the javelin throw.
Lindgren finished fourth -- good for five points -- with a mark of 49.39 meters (162').
Moore followed with four points in fifth place with a personal-best throw of 48.52 meters (159' 2").
Karter Brandenburger (37.54 meters (123' 2")) and
Xander Nabors (33.95 meters (111' 4")) also represented LeTourneau in the javelin, finishing 12th and 14th, respectively.
Nabors also jumped 6.01 meters (19' 8.75") in the long jump.
On the women's side,
Hannah Dunster tallied LeTourneau's four points on the day.
Dunster finished fifth in the long jump with a mark of 5.02 meters (16' 5.75").
Leinaya Gay finished 12th in the event, jumping 4.61 meters (15' 1.5").
