Men's Track in Fourth Following Day Two of SCAC Championships

ABILENE, Texas -- The LeTourneau men's track and field team sit in fourth place with 58 points following day two of the SCAC Championships, hosted by McMurry.

After a six-event day, accompanied by a number of event prelims, LeTourneau has produced four All-SCAC winners and several personal bests.

Colorado College took the lead on day two with 72 team points, and LeTourneau trails third-place McMurry by just one point.

David Dugan was the first to receive the all-conference accolade for the YellowJackets, finishing second in the 10,000-meter run. Dugan posted a 33:12.20 and gave LeTourneau eight team points with his finish.

Elijah Oudyn also supplied LeTourneau four points in the event, finishing fifth with a 33:22.38.

The top point collector for the YellowJackets was Calvin Mason, accounting for 18 of LeTourneau's 58 team points. Mason posted two top-two finishes and garnered his fourth and fifth career All-SCAC honors.

Mason won the hammer throw with a mark of 48.62 meters (159' 6"), before finishing second in the shot put with his 16-meter (52' 6") mark.

LeTourneau had more success in the throws as well. Mason Thompson's fifth-place finish in the hammer (40.08 meters, 131' 6") scored LeTourneau four points.

Karter Brandenburger came just shy of points in the shot put, finishing 10th with a personal-best mark of 11.95 meters (39' 2.5"), and Erik Lindgren had his second personal record of the meet, this time in the hammer (29.49, 96' 9").

Both Bryson Culver and Xander Nabors posted a 1.82-meter (5' 11.5") mark in the high jump. With Culver covering the bar first, he collected eighth place and a point for LeTourneau. The mark is a personal best for Nabors.

In the 110-meter hurdles, Nabors finished seventh, advancing with a personal-best 15.41 time.

Two personal records fell in the 100-meter dash: Jean-Michel Ndiaye (10.79), Ryker Gorrell (11.25), and Seth Barker had a season-best time of 11.53.
