Baseball Places 11 on All-SCAC Teams

CLEBURNE, Texas -- Clayton Holt earned first team honors and the LeTourneau baseball team placed 11 players on All-SCAC teams as the conference released its season awards on Friday in Cleburne.

Holt was a first team selection while Cody Brady and Jack Kale collected All-SCAC second team. Zach Baker, Cruz Cox, Blake Goodridge, Seth Hudson, Camden Miller, Chris Savage, Blake Vice, and Austin Wiederhold were all named to the All-SCAC honorable mention.

All-SCAC teams were voted on exclusively by the league's head coaches and sports information directors.

Holt, a senior from Dobbin, Texas, earns his second straight first team all-conference selection. Moved into the starting rotation, Holt was had a standout year as the ace of the staff. He compiled a 6-1 record with a 3.49 ERA in 69.2 innings with 65 strikeouts. Holt ranked fifth in the SCAC in ERA, third in strikeouts, and seventh in innings pitched. He earned SCAC Pitcher of the Week on April 18 after tossing a nine-inning shutout of Hendrix and allowed just three hits with nine strikeouts.

Holt had two complete games and allowed four earned runs over his last 23.2 innings to end the regular season.

Brady, a sophomore from Flower Mound, Texas, collects his first career All-SCAC honor as he earned second team accolades at shortstop. The sophomore batted a career-best .348 with four homers, 25 RBIs, 34 runs scored, 11 doubles, and 15 stolen bases. In conference play alone, Brady hit .351 with three homers and 21 RBIs. He led the team with 14 multi-hit games and tallied five multi-RBI games.

Kale, a sophomore from Fort Worth, Texas, collects his second career all-conference honor as he earned a second team spot at third base. Kale batted a career-high .333 with five homers, 36 RBIs, 42 runs scored, and an OPS of .968. He earned SCAC Hitter of the Week honors on April 18 after homering in all three games and tallying seven RBIs in a sweep of Hendrix. Kale was second on the team with 10 multi-RBI games and second with 13 multi-hit games.

Baker, a senior from Memphis, Tenn., also collects his second career all-conference honors in the outfield. Baker hit .270 with 20 RBIs, a career-high 33 runs scored and 18 stolen bases. He ranked seventh in the conference in steals. Baker totaled eight multi-hit games, including two three-hit games.

Cox, a senior from Longview, Texas, earned his first career all-conference nod. The closer for the YellowJackets, Cox tied a program single-season record with eight saves and has the third-most saves in Division III. Seven of those saves came against SCAC foes. The right-hander holds a 1.69 ERA across 16 innings of work with 12 strikeouts. His eight saves add to his 14 career saves, which set a program record. 

Goodridge, a sophomore from Keller, Texas, earns All-SCAC honorable mention in his first year with the YellowJackets. The left-hander was the No. 2 starter on the staff, and compiled a 3-2 record in 12 starts and 60.1 innings pitched. Goodridge struck out 48, including a season-high nine in his debut in a win over Millsaps. Goodridge was the SCAC Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 9 following his six scoreless innings and nine strikeouts over Millsaps.

Hudson, a freshman from Tomball, Texas, collects All-SCAC honorable mention in the outfield. Hudson worked his way into a starting role and batted .308 with one homer, 18 RBIs, 19 runs scored, and 15 stolen bases. The freshman tallied 13 of those RBIs and his home run in conference play. He tallied seven multi-hit games and has a current stretch of 19 straight games reached base. 

Miller, a junior from Whitehouse, Texas, was one of the top relievers for the YellowJackets and earns his first career All-SCAC honor. Miller went 4-2 with three saves, and a 4.83 ERA in 17 appearances on the year. The right-hander went 31.2 innings with 35 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .258 batting average and seven walks. Miller had five scoreless outings on the year and went two or more innings seven times. 

Savage, a graduate student from Burleson, Texas, earns his first career all-conference honor with his All-SCAC honorable mention at designated hitter. In his first year with LeTourneau, Savage hit a career-high .351 with six home runs, 32 RBIs, 29 runs scored, and a .970 OPS in 33 games. Savage had 13 multi-hit games and eight multi-RBI games. He set a program single-game record with four doubles in a win over Dallas on April 11. In SCAC games, Savage batted .364 with four homers and 26 RBIs.

Vice, a senior catcher from Sulphur Springs, Texas, garners his second career all-conference honor with his All-SCAC honorable mention. Vice had a career year with a .308 batting average, a team-high seven home runs, 28 RBIs, 24 runs scored, and led the team with a 1.019 OPS. He added 10 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI games on the year. He led the team with a season-best reached base streak of 27 games earlier in the season. Against SCAC foes, Vice batted .310 with four homers, 22 RBIs, and 18 runs scored.

Wiederhold, a sophomore from Montgomery, Texas, earns his second career all-conference honor, this time garnering accolades at second base. The on-base machine was at it again in 2026 with a program-record-tying 38 walks and a .478 on-base percentage to go along with a .285 batting average, two home runs, 15 RBIs, 40 runs scored, and 13 hit-by-pitches. He led the SCAC in walks and is tied for sixth in the nation in the category. Wiederhold had a 15-game reached base streak earlier in the year and tallied eight multi-hit games.

LeTourneau (23-17, 20-10 SCAC) finished second in the SCAC and will play No. 3 seed Concordia Texas on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the SCAC Tournament in Cleburne, Texas.
