Three first half goals and an insurance goal in the second half sparked ASC leader, Louisiana College to a 4-0 win over the LeTourneau University men's soccer team on Thursday night in Pineville.
The YellowJackets (2-7-1, 1-1 ASC) found themselves quickly behind when the Tigers scored in the 4
th minute of the contest. LeTourneau sought to equalize for the next 30 minutes with three shots that were saved by LC goalkeeper Cameron Vauclin.
The Tigers (6-5, 3-0 ASC) added to its lead when they scored on a corner kick in the 35
th minute and an extra tally in the 44
th minute. Louisiana College held a slight advantage in shots for the contest with a 10-8 margin including a 6-3 advantage in the first 45 minutes.
LC added to its lead, late in the second half, when they scored in the 84
th minute on a goal by Felipe Albuquerque. The YellowJackets attempted to end the shutout bid throughout the second half; however, Vauclin answered the challenge with three more saves for the shutout. LeTourneau's

LeTourneau is back in action on Saturday at 3 p.m. with a contest against Mississippi College in Clinton, Miss.
