The LeTourneau University men's tennis team faced Howard Payne on Friday in Brownwood in a non-conference match. With the American Southwest Conference, splitting into two divisions - LETU plays in the East Division and HPU plays in the West Division, it is a non-conference matchup. LETU came away with a 9-0 rout of Howard Payne.

Sindre Bondal Johnsgaard (No. 2 singles) and junior
Morgan Weaver (pictured)Â (No. 3 singles) did not give up a game en route to 6-0, 6-0 wins. Senior
Kendall Beggs was victorious 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, junior
Michael McLaughlin posted a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles. Sophomore Ty Grove won at No. 5 singles (6-3, 6-1) and freshman Robby Bundy won at No. 6 singles (6-0, 6-1).

In the doubles sweep, Beggs teamed up with Weaver to win at No. 1 doubles, 8-4. Also winning by the score of 8-4 was the No. 2 doubles team of McLaughlin/Grove. The No. 3 doubles team of Bundy and Johnsgaard posted an 8-0 win.

LeTourneau will now travel to Belton to face the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday at 1 p.m.
