Morgan Weaver was victorious, 6-1, 7-6 (6-3).
"I am very proud of the team," said LETU head coach
Suzanne Merritt. "They have been working hard and it showed today in the match. UT Dallas is always a competitive team and we knew we had to be prepared to battle and stay in each point. It's early in the season and I believe we are seeing areas we will continue to improve as we go into conference matches."
LETU will remain on the road for its next two matches as they will face Texas Lutheran (Fri, Feb. 27 at 3 p.m.) and Schreiner (Sat., Feb. 28 at 11 a.m.).
