The LeTourneau University men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to Mary Hardin-Baylor on Thursday at the Davis Tennis Courts. It was the first home match of the spring for the YellowJackets.

LeTourneau (2-5) fell behind with three losses in doubles. With a reshuffled lineup, LETU rallied to win at No. 4 (
Tyler Grove), No. 5 (
John Smith /
pictured) and No. 6 (
Kevin Warren) singles. The Cru (3-2) won the first three singles matches to secure the match victory.
Grove outlasted John Martin with a 1-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-4) win; then Smith defeated Tevin Ogo, 6-3, 6-4. Warren cruised to a 6-3, 6-0 win over Bright Ihezue.
The win by Grove at No. 4 singles puts the sophomore at 3-2 on the 2015 season. For Smith, it was his second win of the spring to improve to 2-3 and the win by Warren was the second of his young career.

The YellowJackets will return to the Davis Tennis Courts on Saturday, Mar. 21 at 9 a.m. to host Hardin-Simmons University.Â
