The LeTourneau University men's tennis season came to an end with a 5-0 loss to No. 19 Texas-Tyler in the ASC Tennis Championship semifinals on Friday in Tyler.
Despite the loss, LETU head coach
Suzanne Merritt was pleased with her team on its efforts on Friday and the season. "The men had an awesome season. They set tough goals and worked really hard to reach them. I'm proud of all they have accomplished and excited to see what the future holds for us as a team."
LeTourneau (7-8) started the day, dropping all three doubles matches to the nationally-ranked Patriots. The tandem of

Tyler Grove at No. 1 and 2 doubles, respectively dropped 8-2 decisions.
Robby Bundy and
Sindre Bondal Johnsgaard lost 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.
Seeking two wins in singles to clinch the match, UT Tyler was victorious at No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-0 and at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-1 to post the 5-0 win.
