Morgan Weaver of the men's tennis team was presented with the R.G. LeTourneau Legacy Award for 2014-15 at the Winter/Spring Sports Banquet on Monday.

The Jacksonville, Texas native has a 3.96 cumulative grade-point average in engineering. In addition to being a member of the men's tennis team, he is involved in several areas on campus including YAC (YellowJacket Activities Council), Themelios (Student Orientation) and Student Government. Plus, Weaver is an active member of the One Hope Presbyterian Church in Longview. As a member of the LETU men's tennis team, he has played No. 1 doubles and No. 3 singles in 2015.

LeTourneau Legacy Award is presented to the junior or senior student-athlete who portrays the best Christian attitude and leadership in the following areas: Classroom (Attendance and Grades), Campus (Active in clubs, groups and Bible study), Community (Active in a local church) and Athletics (A student-athlete the team respects and looks up to for leadership).Â
