The LeTourneau University men's tennis team dropped a tough 9-0 decision to Belhaven University on Wednesday in Jackson, Mississippi.
The YellowJackets dropped a pair of close decisions at No. 1 and 3 doubles. At No. 1 doubles, the tandem of
Michael McLaughlin and
Morgan Weaver lost 8-5 to Tomas Ojeda/Harry Amor; then at No. 3 doubles,
Curtis Martin and
Robby Bundy lost 8-3 to Rafael Siqueira/Pawel Tarasewicz.
Despite not winning a set in singles, LETU were strong in all of its matches including a 6-3, 6-3 loss at No. 1 singles by McLaughlin to Siqueira. Weaver lost 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2 singles to Ojeda and Bundy dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision to Lopez.
The YellowJackets will continue its Spring Break trip with three matches in four days. They will face Point University on Thursday at 3 p.m. in Mobile, Alabama.
