The LeTourneau University men's tennis team lost to Hardin-Simmons University, 5-2 in the quarterfinals of the 2016 ASC Men's Tennis Championships on Thursday in Richardson.
The YellowJackets (4-14) started the day with wins at No. 1 and 2 doubles for an early 2-1 lead in the match. The No. 2 doubles team of
Tyler Grove and
Caleb Epps were victorious by an 8-3 margin for the first LETU win on the morning. The senior tandem of
Michael McLaughlin and
Morgan Weaver won by an 8-5 margin at No. 1 doubles.

Hardin-Simmons took the first four flights of singles to pick up the win including a win at No. 3 singles where Weaver dropped a 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 win to secure the win.

Next, HSU will face the winner of UT Tyler and Mary Hardin-Baylor on Friday at 10:30 a.m.
