Box Score KERRVILLE, Texas -- LeTourneau University men's soccer team tied Schreiner in a scoreless draw of Friday's season-opening rain-shortened game.

The YellowJackets' best scoring chance came with 2:52 remaining in the first half when Oliver Placencia's shot in the bottom half of the frame was stopped by Mountaineers goalkeeper Cody Smith. It was the only save Smith had to make.

LeTourneau goalie Diego Berlingeri made three saves, including two in the second half to keep Schreiner off the board. But the match was called due to weather at the 84:05 mark.

Placencia attempted two of the YellowJackets' four shots. Oscar Cravatio and Dustin Gray each had one of the other two. Gray and Placencia both were off the mark on the right side in the first half. Cravatio's crack at it went high in the second half.

Schreiner had 10 corner kicks to LeTourneau's three.

The YellowJackets will host Jarvis Christian 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
