DALLAS -- LeTourneau men's soccer senior midfielder Emad Mohamed was named the ASC Offensive Player of the Week, for the period ending on Oct. 22, announced the conference on Tuesday.

Mohamed shared the honor with Mary Hardin-Baylor's Mason Munoz. It is Mohamed's first career weekly award and he is the fourth YellowJacket to garner a weekly award this season.

A senior from Irving, Texas, Mohamed was key in a 1-0-1 week for the YellowJackets with a goal and one assist. He assisted on Beau Weber's game-winning goal in the 89th minute of a 1-0 victory over Ozarks last Thursday. He then converted a key penalty kick in the second half of a 1-1 draw with UT Dallas on Saturday.

Mohamed averaged 83.5 minutes played per match last week and his play in the midfield aided the defense to just one goal allowed between the two matches. 

On the year, Mohamed has two goals and two assists while playing in 12 matches and making 10 starts. 

LeTourneau (5-4-5, 1-2-4 ASC) is firmly in contention to clinch a spot in the ASC Tournament. The YellowJackets travel to Brownwood on Thursday to face Howard Payne (7 p.m.) in the final conference regular season match of the the year.
