LONGVIEW, Texas -- LeTourneau men's soccer senior
Diego Enriquez was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® team, announced the organization on Tuesday.
CSC, formerly known as CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA — for each gender.
Enriquez, a senior from Longview, Texas, started all 19 matches for the YellowJackets this season, seeing over 1189 minutes on the pitch, and dished out an assist in the team's 1-0 victory over Ozarks (Oct. 24).
The senior midfielder was named an All-SCAC honorable mention for his efforts this year, along with being named to the SCAC All-Tournament team.
Enriquez, majoring in kinesiology, collected his second consecutive CSC Academic All-District® selection and is a three-time Academic All-Conference honoree in his career.
To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-America® program, students must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA, be a significant contributor to the team (having started in 66 percent of the team's games or played in over 90 percent of those games), and be at least a sophomore academically.
