LONGVIEW, Texas -- The No. 6 seeded LeTourneau men's basketball team opens the ASC Championship Tournament on Tuesday night at No. 3 seeded East Texas Baptist at 7 p.m. inside Ornelas Gymnasium in Marshall.
Tuesday's winner moves on the semifinals to take on No. 2 seed UT Dallas on Friday in Belton, Texas. Top-seeded Mary Hardin-Baylor is the host for the semifinal and championship rounds of the tournament.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
- LeTourneau (12-13, 9-9 ASC) won three of its last four games of the regular season to get into the tournament as the No. 6 seed. The YellowJackets defeated Ozarks, 92-80, on Saturday behind 27 points and nine assists from Deonte Jackson to conclude the regular season.
- The YellowJackets are making their eight straight appearance in the tournament, and 11th overall. LeTourneau won the tournament in 2020 and advanced to the title game last year. The YellowJackets are 8-9 all-time in the tournament and have been in the championship game three times (2017, 2020, 2022).
- Tuesday's contest will be the third matchup between ETBU and LeTourneau this season. LeTourneau took a 70-65 win on Dec. 17 at home before ETBU earned a 66-61 victory in Marshall on Feb. 4. The YellowJackets have won eight of the last nine meetings, including the last time they met in the ASC Tournament championship game in 2020.
- Warren Richardson eclipsed 1,000 career points on Saturday at Ozarks. The forward is averaging 15.9 points per game and leads the ASC in rebounding at 8.7 per contest. He has seven double-doubles this season to lead LeTourneau.
- Junior guard Deonte Jackson averaged 27.0 points and 7.0 assists in two games last week, while making 50 percent from the field. Jackson leads the team in scoring at 20.6 points per game, while ranking fourth in the conference. He also crossed 1,000 career points earlier this season and sits on 1,236 entering the tournament.
- ETBU (20-5, 14-4 ASC) has won five straight entering the tournament. The Tigers defeated UT Dallas, 74-72, on Saturday to finish the regular season.
- Aaron Gregg was named the ASC Player of the Week on Monday for a third time this season after averaging 15.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 9.5 assists per game in two wins last week.
- Darry Moore leads ETBU in scoring at 21.3 points per game on the year.
