BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-- A rain delay turned into an early end for the LeTourneau men's soccer team as they were down 1-0 to Berry before play was suspended, and later canceled, in the 59th minute on Saturday evening.
Since the match failed to reach the 70th minute it will not be counted toward either teams official records.
LeTourneau got the first shot off and applied some early pressure to Berry.
The Vikings then found a stride as they went to outshoot the YellowJackets 13-5 and 3-1 of those shots on frame.
Berry marked the scoreboard in the 31st minute when Isaac Vardy received a pass just outside of the six-yard box from Rhys Pollad and buried it.
The YellowJackets were not able to overcome the deficit in the shortened match.
Raul Torrez was in goal for all 59 minutes of action for the Jackets. While Lukas Haritos was in net for Berry.
Axel Pangni, the lone goal scorer for LeTourneau last night, had the shot on frame for the Jackets.
