Box Score BELTON, Texas -- The LeTourneau men's soccer team lost on the road in Belton to Mary Hardin-Baylor 4-0 on Saturday night.
The 2022 ASC championship rematch saw Mary Hardin-Baylor (4-3-1, 2-0-0 ASC) take advantage of a set-piece, corner kick, where Mason Crites found the back of the net from a ball played by Sawyer Young in the 18th minute.
Later in the half a foul committed by LeTourneau (4-5-1, 0-2-0 ASC) was committed in the 34th minute, originally ruled outside the box was reviewed and sent to the penalty mark where Xjavier Martinez put one past
Raul Torrez to extend the lead to two.
In the 39th Minute, the YellowJackets continued to put pressure on as
Garrett Thom put a shot on which was credited as a team save. The ball stayed in the danger area until a Cru defender cleared it out to keep a 2-0 lead into the half.
The YellowJackets outshot the Cru in the first half 6-4, but the Cru landed more on frame with a 3-2 advantage.
LeTourneau continued to fire and create opportunities in the second half as
Caleb Nelson fired a shot on frame but was kept out by Hayden Owens.
Mary Hardin-Baylor found two goals in the second half, first off the boot of Ethan Dacaret in the 59th minute and the second from Martinez in the 78th minute.
The YellowJackets kept fighting as they put up four shots in the final 10 minutes but remained scoreless.
Torrez played all 90 minutes in goal for the YellowJackets and made five saves. Owens was across from him for the Crusaders for all 90 as well, with two saves.

LeTourneau will host Hardin-Simmons on Thursday with kickoff slated for 7 p.m.
