Walker Sets PR, Mason Breaks Program Record for Track & Field at FasTrak

HOUSTON, Texas -- Walker Reeves had a big personal record and Calvin Mason broke his own program record as the LeTourneau men's track and field team continued its indoor season on Saturday at the FasTrak Collegiate Challenge in Houston.

For a second straight meet, the YellowJackets saw multiple personal records set along with a program mark going down.

Reeves finished second in the 3,000-meter run with his personal record time of 8:37.86 in the event. Reeves has placed second in his distance events in both meets this season. Elijah Oudyn also had a personal record in the 3,000-meter as he finished 20th overall with a time of 9:16.65.

Mason had a pair of strong showings in throwing events. The sophomore broke his own program record in the weight throw with a new mark of 14.72 meters (48'3.5) as he placed sixth overall in the event. In the shot put, Mason was sixth with a distance of 13.97 meters (45'10).

The YellowJackets had two more top-10 showings in the meet. Jean-Michel Ndiaye was eighth in the high jump with a height of 1.90 meters (6'2.75). Ndiaye also led the way in the 200-meter with his time of 23.02.

Ben Sweatt also had a personal record in the 200-meter at 24.11. In the 600-yard run, AJ Allen finished ninth with a time of 1:19.44, just .31 shy of the program record.
