JACKSON, Miss. -- LeTourneau men's cross country earned their first team title of 2025 with a first-place finish at the Belhaven Invitational in Jackson on Saturday morning.
The 8,000-meter competition was the first such race for the YellowJackets in 2025.
LeTourneau had a 28:00 average time across their top seven runners, and six of their top seven runners placed inside the top-20.
Senior
David Dugan paced LeTourneau's runners with an eighth overall placement time of 26:53.92. Dugan, who competed in just his second race of 2025, proved his ability to set the tone for LeTourneau.
Right behind Dugan in 10th was
Grayson Gaddis (27:05.68), and
Elijah Oudyn also notched a top-15 finish with his time of 27:44.27.
Freshman
Simon Nakamura continued to showcase his early potential with a 17th place time of 28:24.86, while
Ryan Tally (28:25.66) and
Alexander Hoksbergen (28:35.11) set new personal bests.
Ike Lehman rounded out the top seven with a 23rd place, 28:54.94.
Austin Jett (29:01.59) and freshman
Xavier Davila (29:04.59) completed the top 25 individuals.
Aidan Hynes (29:07.91), along with freshmen
Jack McCarty (29:15.18),
Gavin Smith (29:23.97),
Konrad Williamson (30:08.95) and
Isaac Stucker (31:12.69), rounded out the LeTourneau competitors.
