LONGVIEW, Texas -- The No. 6 seeded LeTourneau men's soccer team is set for its first SCAC Tournament appearance as the YellowJackets open the tournament on Thursday vs. No. 3 seeded Concordia Texas at 8 p.m. at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex.
Thursday's winner moves on to face No. 2 seed Texas Lutheran on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

TOURNAMENT NOTES:
- LeTourneau (6-6-5, 5-4-2 SCAC) got into the tournament after defeating Austin College, 2-1, on Friday in Sherman, Texas, and having St. Thomas defeat Centenary.
- In Friday's win, Elias Arreguin notched the game-winning goal in the 57th minute. Arreguin also assisted on LeTourneau's first goal, a strike from Bridge Mwambukiri.
- Under first-year head coach TJ Milby, the YellowJackets are making their first appearance in the SCAC Tournament in the first year in the conference. It will be the 10th conference tournament appearance for the program in the NCAA era (1998-present).
- LeTourneau has had tremendous success in conference tournaments recently. In each of the last two trips to the ASC Tournament, LeTourneau advanced to the championship round (2022, 2024).
- If LeTourneau gets to a penalty shootout, recent history is on the YellowJackets' side. LeTourneau is 3-0 in PK shootouts since 2022.
- One of those PK shootout advancements came in 2022 over Concordia Texas in the ASC Tournament semifinals.Â
- LeTourneau is 12-9-5 all-time vs. Concordia Texas. The teams played to a 1-1 draw in Longview this season. Leandro Ferreira scored for the YellowJackets in the 36th minute, but Concordia Texas answered in the 75th minute from Alejandro Rojas. The YellowJackets had a 16-13 edge in total shots.
- Freshman Henry Shore has made a name for himself in his first year with LeTourneau. He leads the team and ranks fourth in the SCAC with eight goals and third in the conference with 18 total points. In SCAC play alone, Shore tallied seven goals and 16 points.
- Junior Caleb Nelson leads the team and is tied for third in the SCAC with six assists and totaled 12 points in the regular season. Nelson had three goals and four assists in league play. Freshman Leandro Ferreira added five assists on the year -- fifth in the SCAC.
- Freshman Sammy Shmorgun headlined a back line that had LeTourneau with a 1.29 goals against average on the year (fifth in the SCAC) and three shutouts. However, in SCAC play the YellowJackets posted a 1.09 goals against average.
- Edson Camara Martinez played well at the net down the stretch and finished the regular season with a 1.09Â goals against average in 12 matches and 990 minutes.
- LeTourneau is seeking its first conference tournament title in the NCAA era (1998-present). The YellowJackets have played in three conference championship matches.
