SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- LeTourneau men's outdoor track and field set seven personal bests and a pair of program records at the Trinity Invitational over the weekend.
Calvin Mason added to his bevy of program-best throwing marks with an outdoor program record in the shot put, firing a mark of 15.42m (50' 7), placing him third overall in the event.Â
Jean-Michel Ndiaye also continued his excellent freshman year with a program record in the high jump, leaping 1.91m (6' 3.25), ending up in seventh place overall amongst the competitors.Â
The personal bests came in several events for the YellowJackets.
Alexander Hoksbergen (16:20.64) and
Ryan Tally (16:34.25) set personal marks in the 5000m, while
Bryson Culver set his personal mark in the triple jump (12.18m - 39' 11.5).
Walker Reeves' mark of 3:59.54,
Elijah Oudyn's 4:11.51, and
Hudson McGuire's 4:12.75 were personal bests for them in the 1500m, and
Austin Jett set a time of 2:01.53 as his personal best in the 800m.Â
The final two personal bests were
Justin Lindberg (1:03.55 - eighth place) running his career best in the 400m hurdles and
Ben Sweatt (23.41) adding his career best in the 200m.Â
A couple of other top 10 finishes were also among the highlights of the day for LeTourneau.
Colton Fears came in sixth in the pole vault (4.43 m - 14' 6.5), while Ndiaye placed fifth in the 400m hurdles (59.12)
Caleb Murillo (23.65) and
AJ Allen (25.01) competed in the 200m, and
Ike Lehman (17:24.03) ran in the top 30 in the 5000m.
Isaac Flora added a mark of 4:26.72 (1500m) in his lone competition, and
Aaron Willeford threw a 49.57m (162' 8) in the javelin throw.Â
Finally, the team of Lindberg, Murillo, Culver, and Jett combined for a 3:37.33 in the 4x400 relay race.
