Hoksbergen and Ndiaye's Program Records, Multiple PRs Highlight Meet at SFA

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Alexander Hoksbergen and Jean-Michel Ndiaye's program records and 10 personal bests highlighted the Carl Kight Invitational for LeTourneau men's outdoor track and field.

Hoksbergen set his first outdoor program record in the 3000m steeple chase, running an astounding 9:52.52, which shattered the previous program record by about 34 seconds.

Hoksbergen, the freshman out of Bow, Wash., accomplished this feat in just his second collegiate 3000m steeple chase run.

Ndiaye, the freshman from McKinney, Texas, set his program record in the 400m dash with a 49.18. This was the second program record in the outdoor season for Ndiaye, as he also holds the high jump program record.

Four added personal bests in the 1500m: Walker Reeves (3:53.99), Grayson Gaddis (4:05.72), Isaac Flora (4:19.25), and Aidan Hynes (4:20.34). Reeves and Flora also had personal records in the 800m, with Reeves running a 1:57.13 and Flora running a 2:03.64.

Hudson McGuire also competed in the 3000m steeple chase, and he, like his teammate Hoksbergen, broke the original program record in that event with a time of 9:55.49, a personal record for the senior.

Other personal bests included Elijah Oudyn, who ran a personal-best in the 5000m (15:44.97), while Austin Jett continued to shave seconds off his best time in the 800m with a time of 2:00.58.

The final three personal bests were Ndiaye's 58.72 and Justin Lindberg's 1:02.60 in the 400m hurdles, plus A.J. Allen's 24.06 in the 200m dash.

Others competed well in their events as well, as Aaron Willeford landed in the top five at the javelin throw with a 48.80m (160' 1). Colton Fears (44.38m - 145' 7) and Drew Moore (38.20m - 125' 4) also competed in the javelin throw. Fears would add a mark of 4.40m (14' 5.25) in the pole vault.

Calvin Mason competed in the shot put (15.10m - 49' 6.5) and the hammer throw (48.69m - 159' 6), finishing in the top 10 in both events. He also landed inside the top 10 in the discus throw.

Ndiaye added a second-place finish in the high jump (1.90m - 6' 2.75) and Daniel Risberg competed in his first outdoor event of the season, running a 17:41.22 in the 5000m.

Finally, Caleb Murillo, Allen, Reeves, and Jett ran a 3:38.64 in the 4x400m relay.
