SEGUIN, Texas -- Men's track landed fourth after two days at the SCAC Championships, with a podium finish and a program record highlighting the day.
Jean-Michel Ndiaye set a new program record in the high jump, landing in fifth place overall with a 1.92m (6' 3.5), while
Calvin Mason had his second podium finish of the meet with a second place 48.71m (159' 10) in the hammer throw.
Multiple personal bests were set as well.
Ndiaye qualified for the final in the 400m hurdles, running a 56.25 to place fourth, which was a personal-best for him and season-best for the squad, and
Justin Lindberg added a personal record in the 400m hurdles prelims (1:02.52) as well.
Austin Jett (1:59.17) and
Isaac Flora (2:03.13) established their own personal bests in the 800m preliminaries, while
Ben Sweatt had the final personal record with an 11.35 time in the 100m prelims.
Three landed in the top ten in some of the day's events as well. In the 3000m steeplechase,
Alexander Hoksbergen placed fifth (9:55.46) and
Hudson McGuire ended up sixth (9:56.01), while
Grayson Gaddis added a top-10 finish in the 800m prelims (1:58.66).Â
Sweatt (13.10m - 42' 11.75) and
Bryson Culver (12.03m - 39' 5.5) also placed in the top 10 in the triple jump.
Sam Wyatt (52.44),
AJ Allen (52.74), and
Caleb Murillo (53.27) competed in the 400m preliminaries, and Allen participated in the 200m prelims as well, running a 24.32.Â
Elijah Oudyn and Culver would complete the Saturday event participants for LeTourneau, with Oudyn notching a 38:24.73 in the 10k and Culver contributing a 1.77m (5' 9.75) in the high jump.
