SUWANEE, Ga. -- For the second time this season, LeTourneau women's golf junior Kinley Pessel was named the SCAC Golfer of the Week, announced the conference on Wednesday.

Pessel also collected the honor on Sept. 10. She becomes the first LeTourneau women's golfer to earn multiple conference golfer of the week honors in a season since 2011 (Leslie Lee).

A junior from Marshall, Texas, Pessel notched her second tournament title of the year as she ran away from the field at the California State Intercollegiate on Sept. 15-16. She carded a 2-under, 70 in the final round to finish the tournament at 3-under, 141 (71-70).

She becomes the first LeTourneau golfer to win two tournaments in a season since 2009-10 (Leslie Lee). Pessel also tied her own program record for 36-hole tournament score of 3-under -- a mark she set in the season-opening Energy Weldfab Tempest Intercollegiate.

Pessel was flawless through the first nine holes in the final round as she carded two birdies and seven pars. She added two birdies over her final nine, including one on her 18th hole, to secure a 2-under, 70 and medalist honors. 

On the year, Pessel holds a 70.50 scoring average over four rounds.

LeTourneau returns to action on Sept. 29-30 at the Jacksonville College Classic.
