SUWANEE, Ga. -- For a second straight week LeTourneau men's basketball junior forward
Logan Brinkoeter was named the SCAC Defensive Player of the Week, announced the conference on Monday.
Brinkoeter was honored on Dec. 22 and his award this week is the third time this year a YellowJacket has won the honor.
A junior from Georgetown, Texas, Brinkoeter collected his third straight double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds with one block and one steal in an 80-75 win at Centenary -- LeTourneau's only game of the week. He had 10 defensive rebounds in the win. It was Brinkoeter's fifth double-double this season.
On the year, Brinkoeter is averaging 8.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. He is tied for 21st in the nation -- and second in the SCAC -- with five double-doubles while ranking fourth in the SCAC in rebound average.
LeTourneau (7-3, 2-0 SCAC) plays its final non-conference game of the season on Monday at Mary Hardin-Baylor (7 p.m.).
