SUWANEE, Ga. -- LeTourneau softball senior
Jenna Carter was named the SCAC Hitter of the Week, for the period ending on March 15, announced the league on Monday.
Carter, a senior from Keller, Texas, batted .500 (8-for-16) with three doubles, seven RBIs, and two runs scored in a 3-2 week for LeTourneau.
The outfielder went a combined 4-for-8 with two doubles and three RBIs in a doubleheader split with Millsaps.
In a series win over Centenary, Carter went 4-for-8 with four RBIs and two runs scored, including going 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs in a game-two victory.
Carter -- collecting her first career weekly honors -- is batting a career-best .377 this season with a .525 slugging percentage. She is tied for first on the team in total bases with 32, and her 18 RBIs rank fifth in the SCAC.
LeTourneau will host Howard Payne for a midweek doubleheader on Wednesday (12 p.m.), before hosting Ozarks for an SCAC series this weekend (March 20-21).
