MAGNOLIA, Ark. -- LeTourneau women's track and field found four personal bests at the Dan Veach Invitational on Friday, hosted by Southern Arkansas.
This was the final regular season meet for the YellowJackets, as the team heads to Abilene next weekend (April 24-26) for the SCAC Championships.
Leinaya Gay kicked off the personal-best marks with a 13.30 in the 100-meter dash.
Madelyn DeLosSantos maintained the momentum in the 400-meter hurdles, running a personal-record time of 1:14.70.
LeTourneau's 4x100-meter relay team came within a tenth of a second of the program record.
Madi Williams,
Selah Prickett,
Michaela Antenucci, and
Hannah Dunster combined for a 51.03 time, a season best for the Jackets.
The relay success didn't stop there, as the 4x400-meter relay team of
Anna Layng,
Felice Mullinax,
Katelyn Chavez, and DeLosSantos ran a season-best 4:27.21.
Antenucci cleared eight feet for the first time in the pole vault -- a new event for the freshman -- setting a mark of 2.43 meters.
In the throws,
Makenzie Covey made her season debut after battling injury, throwing the shot put 9.75 meters (32') and the discus 29.68 meters (97'4").
Audrey DeMaris rounded out the personal records with her hammer throw, tossing a 34.52-meter (113'3") mark. DeMaris also posted 21.65 meters (71') in the discus.
