LONGVIEW, Texas – Nate West recently signed his first professional contract with the USK Praha in the Kooperativa National Basketball League (Prague, Czech Republic). The former LeTourneau men's basketball great will start competition with his new team.

West set a school Division III record with 2,393 points in his four-year career and was named 2020 National Player of the Year by D3hoops.com, the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division, and DIII News. He is tied with Terry Zeitlow for the programs all-time mark. West averaged 21.37 points, 5.96 rebounds and 4.77 assists over his 112-game career. His five-career triple-doubles is the most in school and conference history, including three during his final season.

During his reign as an award-winning guard at LeTourneau, West made 361 3-pointers, 136 more than the previous program record. At the charity stripe, he set school records in free throw percentage and made attempts, converting 498-of-582 (85.6 percent) of his opportunities. West dished out 534 assists in his career, besting the previous mark by 100. The 208 helpers during his senior campaign was the most amongst all Division III student athletes.

West's other accolades include D3hoops.com All-American (2020), NABC Division III All-American (2020), DIII News All-American (2020), D3hoops.com All-South Region (2018, 2019, 2020), NABC All-South District 2018, 2019, 2020 and American Southwest Conference All-Conference (2018, 2019, 2020).
