Christin (Mickelboro) Haney '12 was a four-year standout for the LeTourneau softball team.
She became the first player in program history to earn NFCA All-America honors as she garnered second team accolades at second base in 2010. Mickelboro was a three-time NFCA All-West Region first team honoree (2010-12) and a three-time ASC All-East Division first team selection.
Mickelboro holds several program career and season records. Her .416 career batting average is tops in program history to go along with her 182 career hits and 51 career multi-hit games. She ranks first in career home runs (30), RBIs (137), doubles (43), multi-RBI games (36), total bases (325), slugging percentage (.744), on-base percentage (.495), and walks (60).
In her sophomore year in 2010, she hit a program-record .491 (52-for-106) with a then-record 52 hits, 16 multi-hit games, 16 doubles, eight home runs, 43 RBIs, and 12 multi-RBI games. She had a program-best .887 slugging percentage and a .568 on-base percentage. All of that led to her being named NFCA All-America second team, All-Region first team, and ASC All-East Division first team.
She still holds the top three batting averages in a season in program history. She batted .491 in 2010, .445 in 2011, and .427 in 2012. She broke her own program record for season home runs in 2011 with 10. In 2011, she set a program single-game record with six RBIs at East Texas Baptist.
She earned ASC East Division Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year in 2011 and was a five-time ASC East Division Hitter of the Week in her career -- the most conference weekly awards in a career for an offensive player in program history. She also earned CoSIDA Academic All-District in 2011 and was a three-time ASC Academic All-Conference honoree. She was the 2012 LeTourneau Female Athlete of the Year.
