Sara Vestfals '03 was a three-sport athlete at LeTourneau (women's basketball, softball, women's soccer), but stood out most on the basketball court.

A two-time NCCAA All-American, Vestfals was a three-year member of the YellowJacket women's basketball program and scored 1,256 career points, averaging 15.7 points per game -- both ranked in the top five all-time when her career ended. She was second all-time in career made field goals (481) and third all-time in 3-pointers made (118). Her 725 career rebounds (9.1 per game) ranked third in program history and she set a then-program record with 97 career blocked shots.

She earned NCCAA All-America first team, Region Player of the Year, and D3hoops.com All-Region second team as a senior after averaging 16.3 points and 7.1 rebounds with 35 blocked shots (then a program record) in 2002-03. Her 71 made 3-pointers that year was second-most in a season by a YellowJacket.

In 2001-02. Vestfals set a then-program season record with 12.2 rebounds per game, totaling 305, as she earned NCCAA All-America second team accolades.

In her career, Vestfals was a three-time ASC All-East Division selection (twice on first team) and earned two NCCAA All-Region nods.
