Elton Harvey '49 was in the first graduating class of LeTourneau Technical Institute and was a two-year player for the basketball team.

He played for the first basketball teams in LeTourneau history. Harvey averaged 14.8 points in his final season.

Harvey served as team captain in both seasons while leading the team in scoring.
