Michael Huffman '97 finished his time on the diamond for the YellowJackets as one of the best hitters in program history.

Huffman had a career batting average of .392 across four seasons, ranking third all-time, with a then-program record 240 hits. He held program career records for hits (240), runs scored (178), home runs (39), RBIs (186), and slugging percentage (.667). He also added 36 career doubles and eight career triples.

In both the 1995 and 1996 seasons, he set a then-record with 66 hits. In the 1996 season, Huffman belted 12 home runs (setting a record at the time) with 45 RBIs and 57 runs scored. In 1995, Huffman had 11 home runs with a then-record 51 RBIs.

Playing under head coach Elliot Johnson, Huffman was part of 106 wins in his four years -- including a then-record 32 victories in the 1996 season.
